Mischance
When you looked at me you saw a face,
A body,
An artistic creature in many forms.
You'd often stare, and it made me feel good.
But I was a blank canvas that called onto you,
feeding your licentious thoughts.
You'd say it is healthy, rare
to have someone who was beyond vulnerable for me
I was flattered, but deep down,
Not so deep, my desires were unmet.
"As long as you're happy, I'm happy."
Those words I questioned.
You didn't hear me,
You did not listen,
Refused to understand.
My heart was housed,
Barbed wired,
But you barged right in.
I finally gave up, and I saw a possibility.
One that converted into a false reality.
Unfortunate.
